The cuddly bear known as Sparta was found in 2021, at the point of near death. Unfortunately, he was bitten many times by other dogs and was extremely skinny, so much so he was lifted like a feather. He was full of worms because of the flies and had sepsis. After he was rescued, he stayed in a clinic for around 2 weeks fighting for his life. Finally, once he was healed, he was taken to Hopeland where he was able to start a new life.
Sparta has Leishmaniasis, but is stable despite his age. Before adoption and traveling to his forever home, he will of course be tested again for all Mediterranean diseases.
Sparta is an amazing senior dog. He can be grumpy, but he means no harm and would never hurt a human. Sparta is like a cuddly bear and only has a few years left. He constantly makes the volunteers laugh and smile with his hilarious facial expressions and enjoys the cuddles he receives. Additionally, he is clean inside and is trained to use the leash. Sparta also has some old age arthritis. He is around 60–63 cm tall and weighs 30 kg. Will you give this amazing old boy a chance?
