All dogs are vaccinated, chipped, and dewormed. They are neutered when they are old enough.
Rabbit survived something almost impossible to imagine. His 90-year-old owner tried to bury him alive, after tying his legs and his mouth shut, leaving the tiny, helpless dog under the soil to die. Thankfully, someone witnessed what was happening, called the police, and intervened in time.
The municipality brought him to Hopeland, where he was finally given warmth, safety, and the quiet care he deserves. His small body shows the weight of his long life: a weak heart and deep exhaustion. Every step of his care is taken slowly and gently, with patience and respect for the old soul that he is.
Rabbit does not understand what happened to him.
He does not know why the world suddenly became so cruel.
But he does know one thing:
He is no longer alone.
Today he sleeps in a warm room, surrounded by kind voices and soft hands that guide him. No cold ground. No fear. No darkness.
Rabbit is a very old, tiny dog. He weighs only about 3–5 kg, a fragile little soul who has already lived many long years. Age has taken much from him: he cannot hear anymore, and he can barely see the world around him. Most of the time, he moves slowly and carefully, guided only by gentle touches and familiar smells.
Because Rabbit is very old and needs a calm, stable environment, we are looking for a special home for him within Greece, where he can live the rest of his days in peace and comfort. A quiet place, with someone who will simply let him be what he is now — a tiny, fragile grandfather who deserves safety, warmth, and dignity.
Rabbit has survived the unimaginable.
Now he deserves the gentlest ending to his story:
a soft bed, loving care, and the quiet knowledge that he is finally safe.If you are interested in adopting or fostering Rabbit, please fill out the adoption or fostering form!
