Merida was also rescued in 2020 from the horror house, a place where animals had to live among trash, feces, and other dead animals. When she came to Hopeland, she recovered and received medical care, food, fresh water, and of course lots of love.
Merida has Leishmaniasis but shows no symptoms and is already a senior dog. Before adoption and traveling to her forever home, she will of course be tested again for all Mediterranean diseases.
Merida is a very sweet and calm dog. She gets along well with other dogs and people, but she doesn't like to be touched on her hind legs. Merida would be perfect for older people, as she is very quiet and just wants a cozy little dog bed in a quiet home where people will lovingly care for her.
