Hickie’s story is one that breaks your heart and warms it at the same time. He was found tied to a pole in the city center — left there, alone, for an entire day. No one came back for him. There was no chip, no name, no clue about who he once belonged to. But what was left was a tiny dog with a huge heart, waiting quietly for someone to notice him.
Born around 2017, Hickie weighs just 5 kg, but his story carries the weight of deep resilience. Despite what he’s been through, he’s healthy and eager to trust again — even if his little heart still flinches when a hand moves too fast. He’s learning that love doesn’t hurt.
Hickie is very attached to his person; he follows you everywhere and feels anxious when left alone — a reminder of how much he fears being abandoned again. He walks beautifully on a leash and can also be trusted off-leash, staying close to his human. He doesn’t get along too well with big dogs, but he loves gentle company and quiet moments.
He’s relatively clean indoors, though he still needs a bit of practice — just patience, kindness, and time.
Hickie may be small, but his capacity for love is enormous. All he wants now is a calm, caring home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and never left behind again.
